Starbucks Customer Got Angry With Drink Label
, but to his surprise received the drink with a printed label that read, “DIABETES HERE I COME.”
The man who prefers to remain anonymous, posted the photo on Facebook with local news station WJAX-TV in Jacksonville, Florida that he found those words on his ordered white chocolate mocha.
He said he works near the Starbucks and another employee picked up coffees for the staff, according to their report. When the customer got his cup he noticed the strange message on his label.
He did not find the label funny as the Starbucks employee may expect, so he was relatively upset. He said his family members afflicted with the disorder. He wrote underneath the label, “2 of my sisters are diabetic, so…not funny.”
The man said he believes that he was unfairly judged by a Starbucks employee and wants to make sure that it doesn’t happen to him or anyone else again.
He claimed that he didn’t personally go into the store to place the order, but had a co-worker pick it up for him as part of a group order.
Meanwhile, Starbucks corporate headquarters told ABC News in a statement that, “Starbucks strives to provide an inclusive and positive experience for our customers, and were disappointed to learn of this incident.
We are working directly with the customer to apologize for his experience, and with our partners (employees) to ensure this does not happen again.”
